Norton GoBack is a gift product that's no longer offered and also went under the names Roxio Goback, Adaptec Goback, as well as other names. While GoBack isn’t available for Windows 8 there is a similar product called Comodo Time Machine. Goback is a partial static disaster recovery solution but it did have a subsystem console to recover in case windows failed to start-up. Since Goback took up a buffer space of about 20-30% of the hard disk capacity so it can only be used for the formation of occasional backup points. When its buffer space becomes full, GoBack starts to delete its earlier checkpoints and storage of earlier data. GoBack software also replaces the partition table with a single partition.
RollBack Rx is, by judgment, a dynamic and complete system and data backup and restores solution. RollBack Rx is the only system restores software that can reasonably be called an instant PC restore. It only takes RollBack Rx two seconds to capture a four terabyte hard drive (on most systems). RollBack Rx's snapshots can be taken by hand, on a fixed schedule, or be triggered by other system events. RollBack Rx’s patented sector-mapping technology means that Each snapshot takes up roughly 0.07% of the available storage capacity of the hard disk (but this depends on the incremental changes made since the previous snapshot) and as many as 60,000 snapshots can in theory be inventoried. These very minimal system supply use means RollBack Rx can capture the state of your PC more often even while using less hard drive space.
If you’re looking for a GoBack software alternative then you must take a look at RollBack Rx. RollBack Rx is the fastest and most comprehensive system restore software available today. If you do background backups with GoBack you'll experience slowdowns in your other computing tasks. If you'd like a full backup you'll have to leave your computer on overnight and this will require about a quarter of your hard drive. RollBack Rx, by contrast, is an instant backup option that won't interrupt your workflow or game play. RollBack Rx is the Time Machine for Windows PCs.

Nice to know that Rollback works
ReplyDeleteYes horizon datasys does not seem to be bad.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice list for the alternatives. Rollback RX definitely a nice alternative to Norton Go-Back. However, in my opinion it gives more options and flexibility. It is definitely worth a check.
